Throwback to the EURACAN Board Meeting

The 2024 Board meeting took place on 7 and 8 November in Warsaw. It brought together our European experts in the field of rare adult solid cancers in the presence of Prof Urszula Demkow, Undersecretary of State, Polish Ministry ofHealth, Department of Rare Diseases and Prof Beata Jagielska, Director of Maria Sklodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology.

We gathered to discuss our achievements and future activities for the next few years.

Amongst the main actions to take and take-home messages, there were:

  • Simplicity is our ambition EURACAN aims to deliver strong outputs to improve patients’ life
  • Develop further on common work with European Patient advocacy groups
  • Work internationally on tools for training and communication, beyond the EU
  • Research: gather more funds and use pragmatic and simple approaches
  • Opening towards politicians at national, EU level, and even beyond
