Rare Disease Day 2025: Spotlight on Rare Cancers and the Need for Awareness

Today, as we approach Rare Disease Day, EURACAN is shining a light on the rare cancers that affect thousands across Europe. These cancers are often overlooked, misunderstood, and under-researched, yet their impact on patients and families is profound.

🌍 Rare cancers account for around 22% of all cancer cases in Europe. But with their rarity, the challenges of early detection, accurate diagnosis, and access to appropriate treatment remain significant barriers.
