Other educational activities and opportunities
By funding visits from renowned Professors to a EURACAN centre, the professorship programme aims at disseminating knowledge and creating bridges between institutions and countries. Invited professors must be working at a EURACAN hospital and their visits can last for 3 to 7 days.
Since April 2024, the EURACAN Sarcoma disease group has held monthly online Sarcoma Grand Rounds, conceived as virtual meetings. The main goals are:
- to deal with potential sources of disparate clinical behaviour amongst sarcoma reference centres within EURACAN.
- to share this effort with some prominent sarcoma experts from both America and Asia Pacific, in an attempt to widen the discussion as much as possible.
Two summer and winter schools will be organised during the EURACAN 2023/2027 grant period. Prior to the physical meetings and lectures, there will be three online sessions.
These online sessions will focus on theoretical basis (legal basis, fundings, methodology, theory in biostatistics). The live lectures in-presence will focus on study design, AI, biostatistics, end points and indicators.
More information will be shared in 2024/2025.
